The Orchestra caters for young musicians who are playing at around grade 1 to 2+ level, and concentrates on developing the skills of group playing.

Students may, on the recommendation of their instrumental tutor, apply to join the Orchestra Class. Starting in the second term, the orchestra meets on Friday afternoons between 4.00 p.m. and 5.30 p.m. and focuses on learning the skills of ensemble playing.

Students must be reasonably competent on their instrument and be able to read music. The specific prerequisite technical requirements for any instrument may be obtained from the relevant class tutor. The orchestra is another class offered by Saturday Music (PN), and Saturday Music (PN) conditions and fees apply.

To enrol in the orchestra, a separate enrolment form will be available from the student's tutor near the end of term 1.
